University Nangui ABROGOUA

Located in Abidjan, UNA is the premier institution in Côte d'Ivoire for environmental sciences and applied biotechnology for sustainable development. The university specializes in training experts in biodiversity, food and plant biotechnology, bioenergy, water resource management, and pollution control. Research strengths encompass biogas production from organic waste, biomass valorization, and life cycle assessment of energy systems. UNA's infrastructure includes specialized microbiology and biotechnology laboratories, pilot-scale biogas reactors, and an integrated campus promoting interdisciplinary collaboration among its four Training and Research Units.

UNA coordinates the overall implementation of the GreenTech Mobility project. As lead applicant, it is responsible for project management, financial oversight, reporting to the European Union, and overall coordination of consortium activities. Although relatively new to large-scale Intra-Africa mobility coordination, UNA brings strong expertise in bioenergy, sustainable agriculture and applied biotechnology.
