Work Packages
Management and implementation of the project
WP1 ensures overall coordination, financial management, and strategic supervision of the project.
Objectives
Oversee the coordination and implementation of the GreenTech Mobility Project.
- Train 9 PhD graduates, 26 MSc graduates, 9 academic staff, and 12 trainees with expertise in renewable energy systems, waste management, and sustainable mobility.
- Establish harmonized training programs and research agendas for sustainable energy and urban mobility.
- Foster intra-Africa and international collaboration through mobility and programmatic activities.
Selection & Supervision
WP2 focuses on the project's core academic component: the transparent selection and structured supervision of mobility beneficiaries.
Objectives
- Coordinate the selection, placement, and mobility of 26 MSc students, 9 PhD candidates, 12 trainees, and 9 academic staff within the GreenTech Mobility project.
- Ensure smooth logistics and support for mobility participants, enhancing their academic and professional experiences.
- Monitor and evaluate the mobility program’s outcomes and its impact on participants’ academic and career progress.
Sustainability & Dissemination
WP3 ensures that the project generates lasting impact beyond individual mobility flows.
Objectives
- Train 9 PhD graduates, 26 MSc graduates, 9 academic staff, and 12 trainees with expertise in renewable energy systems, waste management, and sustainable mobility.
- Strengthen the capacity of partner institutions and stakeholders in renewable energy, waste management, and sustainable mobility through training, workshops, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Facilitate the dissemination of project outputs, including research findings, innovative technologies, and success stories, to maximize their impact across academic, public, and private sectors.
- Promote the adoption and replication of best practices and innovations developed through the project to ensure sustainability and long-term benefits for partner institutions and communities.

PhD Candidates
Full mobility for doctoral candidates under international co-supervision.

Requirements
Hold a Master's degree (or equivalent) in a field relevant to the project, with an excellent academic level.
Languages
Be able to follow and produce academic work in the language of instruction of the host institution — most often English or French.
Benefits
In addition to travel expenses, monthly living allowance, insurance, research costs, candidates develop advanced research expertise on concrete sustainability challenges in Africa, publish in international scientific journals, and become experts capable of contributing to regional policies and technological innovations.
Trainees
Structured three-month internship program in partner companies and institutes

Benefits
Trainees gain direct practical experience by working with implementing agencies, transport operators, or energy facilities, which allows them to develop operational technical skills immediately valuable in the job market.
Academic Staff
Short-term mobility for academic staff (teaching, research, training).
Target group
Academic or administrative staff employed at one of the partner institutions of the GreenTech Mobility consortium.

Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be employed at an eligible higher education institution or partner organization
- Present a clear mobility plan (teaching, training, research, knowledge transfer, or institutional capacity building)
- Demonstrate the relevance of the mobility to their professional role and to the project’s priorities
- Obtain an invitation or acceptance letter from the host institution
- Commit to knowledge transfer activities upon return (training sessions, workshops, dissemination of outcomes)

Participants who are enrolled, admitted, or have graduated from higher education institutions (HEIs) within the consortium.
